all saves lost

when i open the sims 4 every time it gives me a complete new game and I cant get my old saves back, I have tried uninstalling and re installing but the same happens, I gave up and made a new game, then logged off, came back on to find that had been deleted too I have tied to recover saves but there was nothing there I have looked though my files but everything is as it should be please help I am getting extremely annoyed and upset as I thing all my legacy saves have gone forever.
