BEST HP TOUCHSCREEN LAPTOPS FOR SIMS 4?

I have the HP ENVY M6-P113dx Notebook Pc but the screen cracked and the product is not discontinued. So does anyone know some good hp (touchscreen)laptops that are strong enough to play the sims 4 on high/ultra setting and having mods in your game.

  • @Eliza13x  That is quite a specific category of laptop you're considering.  Not knowing what price you have in mind, it's difficult to say whether you'd be able to find what you wanted.  I just went to HP's website and filtered by touchscreen, and the cheapest model that would run TS4 well at all is this one, on sale for $1000:

It's actually a decent model, with a good processor, plenty of storage, and 16 GB RAM.  It has a dedicated graphics card that probably couldn't handle all packs on ultra graphics settings, but high settings would likely be fine.  It's back-ordered but looks like it would be available in a couple of weeks.

There are a few more expensive models with more or less equal specs, but the only one that's better is more than twice the price and definitely overkill for Sims 4.

If you're set on an HP touchscreen laptop, I can check other sites and see whether there are other options that might be a bit cheaper, or might have slightly better specs than the one above for only a bit more money.  But if you'd like me to look, please let me know your budget and country, as well as whether you're set on getting another HP.

I apologize for the super late reply Im definitely set on another hp touch screen or any powerful computer with a touch screen just want something that would run everything with high/ultra effects. My price range would be 800 and up and my country is United States. The price doesnt really matter to be I just want it to be powerful

@Eliza13x  Don't worry about the late reply.  HP's entry-level options have come down in price a bit, but it doesn't make any touchscreen models with medium-strength graphics cards, so the better models in your price range come from other companies.

I looked again for touchscreen options, and there aren't many around $800 that have a strong graphics card.  I did find a few though.  Lenovo's Yoga 730 series has a few models with an Nvidia 1050, which would handle all Sims 4 packs on ultra graphics settings now, although barely.  This is the page for all configurations; scroll to the right to look at the model priced at $883 (once the savings have been factored in).

The $1300 version is better, but not $500 better.  Its main feature is its 4K screen, which I'm sure is lovely, but you wouldn't be able to run Sims 4 in with a 4K resolution at anything resembling decent framerates.  You could always turn down the resolution, of course.  The other advantages are a much larger solid state drive (1 TB vs. 256 GB) and extra RAM.  The models with an Intel 620 don't compare in gaming performance.

Another decent option is this $800 Acer Spin, also with an Nvidia 1050.  It has a larger hard drive, but it's a slow mechanical drive instead of an SSD.  Its processor is also slower than the above models.

Other than these options, the only laptops even close in price range come with much weaker GPUs, either integrated graphics or entry-level dedicated cards like an Nvidia MX150 or MX250.  These cards' benchmarks, gaming and otherwise, don't compare to even a 1050, much less stronger cards.  These cards wouldn't run the game on high or ultra settings unless you skipped the most demanding expansion packs (e.g. Seasons, Island Living).  But if you'd like to see some options with these cards, I can find plenty.

Proper gaming laptops that have touchscreens are pretty rare, and definitely more expensive.  I didn't see any for less than $1,400, mostly with the same Nvidia 1050, or a 1050 ti.  There are also options with hardware that's stronger than Sims 4 will ever need, and priced accordingly.  This $1,600 Razor is somehow the cheapest example.
