Black screen upon launch

Hi would anyone know how to resolve this issue? I’ve just downloaded the sims 4 on my pc but Everytime I try to start it up my screen goes black (no cursor and the screen is frozen so I can’t access anything on my pc until I restart it) and it plays the theme song. I’ve seen people have a similar issue however none of the things suggested to do to fix it have worked after 2 hours of troubleshooting.

First I downloaded it on ea but it didn’t work so I redownloaded it on steam and the same issue kept happening, I tried clearing my cache, updated my graphics card, made sure all files were on the same storage device, tried starting the game windowed instead of full screen, verified the files, then redownloaded it back to ea and repaired the files… still nothing, I have no add ons or expansion packs downloaded or mods for that matter and my pc has more than enough storage, ram and a good enough graphics card to handle the game so I’m really confused what the issue is.

if anyone has anymore troubleshooting steps I could follow please let me know I’ll try anything at this point.
