Black screen when starting the game

Hello!!

For the past month i am playing in low resolution. Yesterday i decided to put the high resolution and my game instantly went black. I pressed the windows button to exit the game because there was no other solution or button to click. I then proceeded to restart  the game but this time i couldn't even access the main menu( the screen is totally black although i an listening to the intro music. In other words i cannot see the options button in order to reset the resolution.

* I even deleted the EA app, cleared cache and reinstalled. The game and it's expansion packs are all bought through the app*

How can i solve this problem? I cannot play
