Blue screen when in live mode

Hi everyone!!

I’ve had an issue recently when opening the sims that I cant seem to fix.

i can open the game perfectly and enter create a sim but once i select a word and lot to live on and enter live mode, the screen goes blue and I cant see anything. My Sims wishes and actions pop up multiple times but I cant see anything.

i have tried to repair game three times, taken mods out, reinstall the game and taken mods folder out and deleted saves.

nothing seems to work…

would really appreciate some help please!!

  • nashdavida  Please click Windows key-X, select the Device Manager, expand the Display Adapters section, right-click the RX 570 entry, and select Enable if it's there.  Then restart your computer.

Your dxdiag shows that your integrated graphics chip is driving the monitor.  That shouldn't be possible if the monitor is plugged into the dedicated card, at least with a standard desktop.  If you plug the monitor into the GPU (while the computer is turned off) and you see nothing on-screen after rebooting, that typically means the GPU is disabled, perhaps in the Device Manager as described above.

When I say plugged into the GPU, I mean the separate component, as opposed to the motherboard and its many ports.  If you take off the side panel of your computer, and you don't need to go past that, you'll see the motherboard front and center, with a large GPU running horizontal towards the bottom of the board, and with its ports flush against the back of the case.  The motherboard's ports are in the upper-left corner (unless the board is upside-down, but you should be able to tell by the lettering).  This is also where you'd plug in your keyboard, speakers, etc.
