8mih99ruu2j9 You can play, sure, although likely only on low graphics settings, maybe medium if you're only installing the base game and a few packs. There's no harm in trying.
Before you play, please update the laptop's graphics driver. Here's the newest version Intel provides for your processor and graphics chip, dated April 2023:
Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator." Restart your computer afterwards.
If you get an error when trying to install the driver, use this workaround:

If I don't update my laptop's graphics driver to the latest version, can I still play Sims 4?
8mih99ruu2j9 The current driver is from 2016, so I doubt it will work perfectly. It might work enough to let you play. But the developers have no reason to code for your graphics chip plus the driver you have installed because a newer driver is available. So compatibility is not guaranteed, and given the large time gap, full compatibility is unlikely.
Here again, there's no harm in trying.

So do I have to keep updating it?
8mih99ruu2j9 Intel announced a while back that it was ending support for your particular graphics chip, so I wouldn't expect any newer drivers other than a possible security update. So no, you shouldn't need to update further. And the Sims 4 developers will know that this is the newest-available driver for a whole generation of hardware, so as long as that hardware is officially supported, the game should be compatible with this driver as well.

Okay, Thank you.. Actually I have tried to download the link you provided. When I run the administrator and want to update it, I get a notification saying that “Something went wrong. No driver was found that can be installed on the current device. Installed exit code: 8”.. So I can’t update the graphic driver
8mih99ruu2j9 Then try the workaround in the link I posted earlier.

I've tried it but still error 8
8mih99ruu2j9 Would you like to force the driver to install anyway? I can write out how. But if you prefer, you can test Sims 4 and see whether it runs well enough for you before doing anything else. Updating the driver is independent of anything to do with the game itself.
