cannot manage packs

I cannot manage my add-ons.  I had to reinstall the game because it was completely broken after the last update.  I do not wish to play certain packs that I have installed.  Normally I would be able to uninstall them pack by pack.  The feature "Manage add-ons"  is available but it no longer does any thing.

  • @tsavogina  The EA App has never had an option to uninstall individual packs, and neither did Origin.  Are you perhaps thinking of an option from Steam?  I've never used that version of the game, so I don't know what options are or used to be present.

At any rate, if you'd simply like to play without certain packs, the simplest approach is to disable them:

If you need the packs to be uninstalled, for example if you're desperate for space on this computer, let me know what kind of install this is, and I'll write out an unsupported but usually successful workaround.

Thank you for your reply.  I used to be able to manage packs.  I could install only certain packs and uninstall others... This was as recently as April of this year.  I believe Origin was my launch app on my PC.  Now, with EA it installs all of them when I am attempting to only install one and the Manage packs feature no longer works.  I also have to uninstall the whole game about once a month because of some error that the packs or EA is causing.  I believe this to be an EA games technical malfunction, most likely caused by idiots.

I am having the exact same issue at the moment.  You use to be able to go on and uninstall the ones you didnt want.  It is no longer working for some reason.  This is frustrating as some I dont like to play and it helped free up space.  I have tried uninstalling sims, uninstalling ea app and clearing cache but nothing.  So frustrating!!!
