cant add old save files to new laptop

Question

so i got a new laptop and i wanted to bring my old save files with me, but when i add them to the games save files my game only opens as a background process. at first when this issue happened i had added my tray, the saves, and a couple mods, but after repairing the game i added each type of file to isolate the issue and im now sure its an issue with the saves.

some important information is that there are multiples of each save file because thats how they generated on the old laptop, but it never caused this type of issue even when i played around with some saves downloaded off the internet. not sure where to go from here

fakeyolk&nbsp; Try one save at a time, the files that end in .save rather than&nbsp;.verx .&nbsp; The latter are backup versions of your main saves, so don't delete them yet.&nbsp; If a save file doesn't load, you can try restoring one of the backups with the same number.&nbsp; Here's how:

The point is, use the main save if it's viable, and try one or more backups if necessary.
