Can't download City Living.

Did you try rebooting your computer?

I have tried:

Restarting my computer

Logging in and out of Origin

Uninstalling and reinstalling Origin

Running Origin as Administrator

Repairing my sims 4 game ! 

I don't know what else to do. I paid for this content, and I cannot download it, and I cannot understand why!

Do you have any security software that might be blocking the connection?

I have the same problem and tried those things and still get stuck in the perpetual "Preparing" mode.  I can play the game fine (without city living) but when I exit the game and open origin to install the new expansion I still get the pepetual "Preparing".  I just want to know if this is just happening on launch day and tomorrow it will be fixed or if I have to call the EA people to get it fixed.

Did you also check your security software?

If so and it didn't work try downloading in Safe mode: in the top menu choose Origin > Application settings > then the tab Diagnostics > turn on Safe mode downloading.

I have pre ordered the pack at it says release in the UK is on the 2nd. It is now 10.30 am on the 2nd and I'm not getting the option yet to download. Is there a specific time when download will become available?

I had this exact problem with Get To Work , so log off of origin if you know how to get back in and then log back in and it should work! Hope this helped!
