Constant crashing on game startup

Confirming my computer is fixed. While there were a host of updates my computer needed, ultimately I used Google AI to trace the initial corruption back to the April 2026 Update. After completing a host of tests, once I realized the game lasted longer in the dx9 setting, it was able to pinpoint me back to a BIOS overclock issue. See the final result below. I recommend EVERYONE use Google AI to figure this out. I've been working on this issue for weeks, and in a matter of a few hours I was able to fix the game. Happy Simming!

when you reinstalled your drivers, did you do a clean reinstall as explained in this post:

If not, please try that.

I just performed the clean reinstall as suggested but the game crashed as soon as I tried to get into CAS. Do you have any other suggestions? I really appreciate your help. Thanks!

The DxDiag shows many python37_x64.dll errors. Problem is that this error can have multiple causes.

Please preform a Clean Boot:
A clean boot is a process that starts Windows with a minimal set of services and startup programs. This can help eliminate or find software conflicts.

How to perform the clean boot:

Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.

Type “msconfig” (Without the quotes.) > Enter.

In the System Configuration window, go to the Services tab.

Check the box that says, “Hide all Microsoft services”.

Click Disable all. (Make sure the EABackgroundService remains enabled.)

Go to the Startup tab and click Open Task Manager.

In the Task Manager, disable all startup items that are activated.

Close Task Manager and go back to the System Configuration window, then click OK.

Restart the computer, the PC will start into clean boot mode.

Test the Game

2. Additional Steps (Inside the Clean Boot Mode)

Ensure your virus scanner and other security software are disabled.

Disable Afterburner and similar software.

Make sure any CORSAIR software is disabled or uninstalled.

Ensure your GPU and CPU are not overclocked.

Disconnect all peripherals except for your mouse and keyboard.

Please also look if there is a newer BIOS version available for your Laptop.

  I have tried all of these recommendations and still, inevitably the game crashes. I downloaded a third party software that did some additional cleanup and driver updates, but I still can barely get out of CAS on a vanilla run. Do you have another recommendation?

    First, don't use third party "cleaner" or "optimizer" software. The chance that they make things worse is much bigger than that they help.
    
    Did you also looked if there was a new new BIOS available for your device?
    
    There is a stability issue with 13th and 14th generation Intel CPUs that may be resolved by updating the BIOS or disabling Turbo Boost in the BIOS settings.
