Control Panel disappeared

Whenever i come out of build mode or when i travel somewhere, the control panel disappears. I also can't go to the gallery, I can't save the game or exit the game or anything because none of the butt...

    @roberta591   I removed a custom career mod (the one that was my sim's career) and it works now! Thanks for your help!

@whirliko  Do you have any mods/cc in the game? If so have you tried the game without mods/cc?  Did you try the tab key to unhide the UI?
