When I go to New Game and Create a Sim, nothing shows up. I hear sounds but I see no sim. The Sim story creation doesn't start. I have tried restarting multiple times with no luck.
Do you have any Mods or CC? If so move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.
@jpkarlsenHey, I've been having the same problem and I've tried what you've suggested however still the same.
**EDIT: I've managed to fix it via the Origin application! Game Library > right click Sims 4 > Repair, then restart.
I have no Mods or CC. All that had happened recently was updating my game and installing a few expansion packs and game packs that I bought. Got on game today and it's still showing nothing but a night sky in Create a Sim.
@weeniebeanie26 Please try repairing the game: open your Origin library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.
My sim won’t load in CAS. The character is just not appearing in the picture or where we edit them. I took out all of my mods to see if it was that but after I took it all out, it’s still not there.
If your getting the night sky like I was close out the game then go to Origin, right click on Sims 4 and click repair. This fixed my issue.
