graphics problems?

Hi everyone, I'll explain step by step what I did. My The Sims has always worked fine, and I have about 100 mods but from 2022 until yesterday I never had any problems with this gaming computer I have. Yesterday, however, I thought of going to Windows 11 settings > system > display > graphics and manually insert The Sims 4 into this list to set my graphics on the game, which are good graphics, I entered the game and I didn't understand anything anymore, I lag, the CAS is very slow, I tried removing The Sims 4 from the list I told you about before but nothing, I uninstalled and reinstalled The Sims but nothing either, I don't know how to solve this problem, the game no longer runs smoothly, the CAS takes a few seconds longer to load an outfit when before it was perfect despite the cc

I'm posting pictures of where I went in Windows settings and my computer info, please help me!

  • 9rglx1o5flub  What is happening exactly when you play?  And you're sure you removed all the settings you imposed for Sims 4?

Please also provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

I think I did what you asked, I don't speak English so sorry if my answers seem disconnected, however my problem is that the game is no longer smooth and has strange stutters

  • 9rglx1o5flub  Most of the errors in your dxdiag are generic and related to failed Windows updates.  While this may not have anything to do with Sims 4, the errors should be fixed anyway.  So please run a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:

    • Click Windows key-X and select "Powershell (Administrator)" or "Windows Terminal (Administrator)" , whichever you see
    • In the window that appears, copy and paste "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth" without quotes, and enter
    • The system will take a little while to validate; if it throws an error, please list it
    • Otherwise, copy and paste "sfc /scannow" without quotes into the window, and enter
    • Post the message you receive

Restart your computer, open Windows Settings > Update & Security, click the box to check for updates, and if any install, restart again afterwards.

If Sims 4 is still running badly, even when you have the laptop plugged into a power source, please try again but with your computer offline.  You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.
