What happens when the bug occurs? The create a new sim screen is a purple starry night screen, I can hear the sim but I can't see them or start creating them. the screen is dead.
What do you expect to see? the create a sim page
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.

I am trying to create a new game on the Sims 4. I haven't played in months and was required to update Origin as well as my Sims programme. Once it had loaded and I had tried to create a new game, the screen turned to a night sky scene and became inactive. Can someone please advise on how to fix this please? Screenshot attached.

As a follow on to the glitch, I can't load existing families I have previously created. When I click on them and press play, it take me back to the home screen!
