It. HAS. BEEN. DAYS. Since I have been able to play this game that is taking up space on my computer, THAT I OWN. AND PAYED FOR. JFC, EA, fix it.
If this issue was happening with literally any other popular game it would have become a massive drama months ago and would have been fixed, but not the sims 4. It's been three weeks for me and I've tried literally everything I could find, even the most obscure fixes, and NONE of it worked in the slightest. Leave it to EA to not care, communicate, or bother to fix a bug so huge it's literally scamming their customers.
I don't have your problem at all I'm just telling you to check the files on your PC If you do not follow what I wrote you will be saved from unnecessary problems
