My game was running slow, not letting me place lots from the gallery, and crashing today (August 10, 2024), so I decided to do a folder refresh. That did not work. I did a repair and that did not work, so I uninstalled EA app & The Sims 4. Now I am getting This error:

I have looked through the thread from 2019, and none of the solutions worked (and it has been locked).
I checked my antivirus (Norton) - both EA App & The Sims 4 are allowed in program control
I checked user permission & I (the administrator of my PC) have all permission for the game
I have tried to run The Sims 4 & EA App as Admin
Any other suggestions or solutions? Thank you in advance.
@simplymaddiem I've merged your post with the (much more current) master thread for this issue. Please try the suggestions in the first post on page one, at least those you haven't tried already.
I got my game running again! Looks like I had to update Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 (found by norton antivirus) and then I also manually added "The Sims 4" folder to my documents.
