Hello, I've just reinstalled The Sims 4. This is the first time I have installed The Sims 4 on this computer, and I have never actually been able to open the game on this system, so there were never any mods installed. When I try to launch the game, it gives me an error:
Unable to start:
Cannot start because game data is missing or damage. If you have Mods installed, please remove them and try again. If not, please repair or reinstall the game via Origin.

Here are the things that I have tried that did not let me open my game:
- Shut down & reboot my computer
- Repaired the files (EA)
- Moved my files to another location and let it try to open it from that folder instead (EA)
- Uninstalled all of my packs/addons (EA)
- Completely uninstalled the game and reinstalled it on this system. I've done this twice by now. (EA)
- Got the game on STEAM and installed it there
- Repaired the files/checked file integrity (STEAM)
- Made sure that my firewall was not blocking the application from opening on both public and private networks
- Turned off my firewall completely
- Reinstalled it on the EA launcher and verified that the folder that is listed under the game is the folder that the game is actually installed in
I can't find any other solutions besides what I've tried already. Does anyone know what I can do about this?
