Debug cheats not working? Missing items

I've not played in a few months but when I went on today I entered the cheats as I always do for:

bb.showhiddenobjects and bb.showliveeditobjects (after enabling testing cheats and move objects)

Some items came up but there are A LOT of debug items not showing which I have previously been able to use. Even with cheats enabled I used to be able to use the eyedropper and clone the debug objects and that is also not working. No I don't have any mods installed and yes I am sure I entered the cheats correctly.  Is this a result of a recent update? Any other ideas?
