Downloading expansions from disc without a disk drive (sims 4)

I am thinking about buying the sims 4 expansion pack city living. It comes with a disc and a code but i dont have a disc drive on my laptop. Am I able to register my expansion using the code without having to insert the disk to add or to play the game in general (with my sims 3 i had to use my seasons disc to play the sims but i have changed laptops)

You don't need a disc drive to get the game.
If you have already bought this game, go to Origin / Library. On the right on the top find options "add game". Enter the game code there and download the game.
If you have not bought it yet, you can buy this game straight from Origin.
