EA Add-ons deactivated???

I was previously gifted several Sims 4 Addons via product codes redeemable only on Steam. I have purchased ALL of my sims 4 content through EA previously and have 22 add-ons installed via EA.

Based on what i read in the forum - I needed to link my account and then install Sims 4 on Steam and then i should be able to launch the game with ALL of my addons.

The only add-ons available are the ones installed via steam even though my EA account shows i have all 27 add ons installed. It also shows that all my addons are deactivated. It seems like it should be pretty straightforward and some how i need to reactivate the addons 🤷‍♀️ but support did not give any clarity on this front.

I deleted the EA app.. re-installed it. Re-installed all the addons. I'm really unclear on what to do and support gave up and told me to post on the forum. 

PLEASE HELP.
