EA App - Blank Screen

I have tried everything

  • Removed cache (In 2 different ways)
  • Checked for updates
  • refreshed ea app
  • reinstalled
  • Open as administrator
  • Restarted my computer MANY times
  • And probably more

When I try to open the app I am met with a blank screen. Nothing else just that. I can touch the things on the sides but nothing will pop up. I first noticed when I tried to play the Sims. It would try to open the app but when it does it responds with a "preparing game" window that loads for a minute or so and then stops with nothing happening. So, I did everything listed above I watched countless YouTube videos while staying patient, looking at other people with the same problem. But I've grown extremely impatient with the same results for two days. I just want a fix so I can play Sims 4.

  1. I downloaded the Sims on Steam so it has to go to the EA window for it to load
  2. I also got a free pack on the Epic Games launcher
  3. I use cc (Not that I think that has to do with the EA app)
  4. I first noticed this happened when I moved the EA app and the Sims 4 into folders trying to revamp my background I've since moved them out but nothing has changed

Thank you!

  • @lore_bubbles  Try clearing the EA App's cache, which has nothing to do with your game data:

    https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

And no, clearing the game's cache wouldn't erase your data either, but it also wouldn't help with an EA App issue.

If clearing the App's cache doesn't help, download a fresh copy of the App's installer and run it.  You should see the option to repair the App rather than install, so choose that.

If the App still doesn't work, you should then be able to remove it with Revo.  If not, restart your computer, go into Program Files > Electronic Arts, and delete the EA Desktop folder; if you get an error, kill anything that starts with EA in the Task Manager, including in the background processes list.  Then use Piriform's CCleaner (again, the free version is fine) to remove anything EA App-related.  Make sure you do NOT delete the Electronic Arts folder in Documents, as this is where your saves and other Sims 4 user data are located.
