I still use Origin on my computer; just like Windows 11, I don't plan on changing until I'm forced to do it.
I can't get past the message. I just had to hit quit origin from the taskbar as I couldn't even close it from the open app.
I guess this is me being forced now into the change over. - Jayel-1Seasoned AceI'm going to tackle this tomorrow. I don't have time for problems today.
I'm glad to hear more successful change overs than unsuccessful ones.
As far as TS3 goes, I have never played through Origin as I still play from my disc, if and when I ever play it these days. - SheepilingNew Rookie

I’ve recently moved over and have not found any issues with Sims 4. Unfortunately, there are issues with Sims 2 and Sims 3 though.
Sims 2 Ultimate Collection is now Sims 2 Double Deluxe, and all Sims 3 Special Editions and Limited Editions are now just Sims 3 regular editions. I haven’t checked my Sims 3 store stuff yet as I haven’t downloaded Sims 3 to my new computer yet.
Please let us know about these inconsistencies here so we can alert the right teams."GalacticGal;c-18209284" wrote:
Once again, the App is a but, telling me my game failed to launch. It's been doing this for quite some time, recently. I don't think it's ready for Prime Time, plus, I've also noticed there is no longer the warning that Origin is coming to a close, soon.
We have a thread for this issue here.
Having to report the bugs so y'all can contact the right teams sounds a lot like a beta process. I don't know why beta was ended when the app isn't ready yet. There should have already been hired bug testers making sure all the games worked well before the app was forced on everyone, with enough time for optional beta testing from those actually willing to make bug reports.
Your beta isn't over. It's just a forced beta on everyone now. We either have to be an unpayed bug tester by no choice of our own, or deal with a broken game and missing content. That's not ok. I really hope these issues get resolved ASAP because the Sims 3 store is EXPENSIVE for DLC collectors. - GypsyRozLynSeasoned NewcomerSo far, I am still playing using Origin. I have kept it off line so maybe that is why.
I dread having to switch to the EA app because I am on the update before Werewolves and that is where I want to keep it because I do not want that fears update that they have yet to fix the off switch for and I do not want the constant phone use update and all the other buggy things that have come in the updates lately. My game is great the way it is, but I feel sure that once I switch to the new app, it will auto update my game, and then it will be broken.
I also still play Sims 2 and Sims 3 and Sims Medieval on Origin and I keep hearing that a lot of that content is not showing up on the new app. I have a lot of store content for Sims 3 and certainly do not want to lose it. - bshag4lvSeasoned AdventurerHi Bluegayle, I just checked and all my games are where they should be. I only have 6 games in the app, including Sims 3, which I probably need to uninstall.
I can only wish those who are having trouble find solutions quickly. - As of today, I am still using Origin. I am hearing to many horrible things about EA.
- GalacticGalSeasoned AceI uninstalled the EA App and upon downloading and installing it again, as I stated above, it ate Origin. Then when I attempted to play my game, which in the recent past I was able to do, it's now telling me, consistently, that I don't have an Internet connection and my game failed to load. Well, I don't have time for such garbage. Too many other things to do in the same limited time space. So, in my exasperation, I immediately uninstalled the 'new' EA App, and then downloaded Origin. It worked just fine, too. Same as always. That's how I played my game yesterday afternoon. I don't plan on installing the EA App again, until they fix the amalgamated mess that is the EA App. Sorry, EA, fix it or lose it. I just don't have the time to play around, here.

I dared look, and right enough it's telling me to install the EA App and it will automatically uninstall Origin. I'm not even going to try it now. I'll do it tomorrow when I have a whole afternoon free to sort it out if anything goes wrong!
Huh, I've yet to see that message. For now, I'm sticking with Origin.
I'd stick with Origin if it would allow me to. I'll go ahead later and install EA, but like you, if it messes everything up, I'll uninstall it and reinstall Origin. From what I'm reading, not everyone can reinstall Origin again. This is so totally Messed up! - leena3Seasoned Novice

Oh my. I just noticed when I tried "Repair" on the EA app it deleted my Origin completely. Thanks EA for a job well done. Now I can't play any of your games.
EA app is supposed to delete Origin completely. Origin and EA app are otherwise in conflickt. - Jayel-1Seasoned AceFinally did it! It was a heart stopping moment, but it took under 20 minutes. I've never sat staring at my computer feeling so sick.
It installed, uninstalled Origin. My games all there intact.
I turned off automatic updates first. Hit Go off line next. Put my mods folder and saves folder back into the file, and all's good.
I can breathe again.
