Endless Loading Screen!
Hi,
I've been fighting a problem with my game for just about a few days now both before & now after the new patch update.
At first the game was crashing on start up on the first load screen before selecting a save file. Now I get to the the screen of the neighbourhood map to select the lot but that load now is endless. All the other loading screens up to this point is is max 2-3mins.
I've created gone through a few steps each time:
- Repaired the game
- New folders by loading an empty game and populating new folders and then inputting my saves & tray folders. (with & without mods)
- New save file & no mods
- 50/50 method
When I load a new save file & with no mods there is no issues and everything seems to run smoothly.
No mods but my own save file- I am also able to load into the safe file game but receive endless load screen before the neighbourhood map or the loading the lot. Its hit or miss at times and the only difference I think would be if I selected the game through EAapp or The Sims icon on desktop.
I felt like it was mod related but doing the 50/50 methods came up with no problems in the end?! However when it let me through to the lot, with all my mods in place, I was in CAS and when returning to Live mode it had an endless load screen, I then went back and removed a mod related to 'more traits' and that solved the problem and I was able to return to the game with no problem.
However, after playing a few hours and saved and exited the game, when I have now reloaded the save file, it stuck again on endless loading into the lot.
Because they was no difference between loading with or without mods, I updated my game today & a few known broken mods, I then loaded a previous recovered save going back a few sim hours in the household and could load the household completing all the previous steps for a 2nd time in order to play a few hours of my save file. I'm not sure what the problem is and whether I'll have to do this each time I want to load my game.
I've attached my specs below too. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
