Festivals not occurring

So I bought City Living and Tiny Living yesterday. After I'd installed them I never got a Welcome splash screen for City Living but the main problem I'm having is there are no festivals starting whatsoever. I've played through several weeks and not had any notifications of festivals, the apartment bulletin board gives me the option Read About Festival but it does nothing. The rest of the time it sits on the light bulb poster with the lights chasing around the frame and can't interact with it. Thr same happens with the billboards in the neighbour hood. Anybody have any ideas what's wrong. I've removed all mods and Cc, repaired sims, reinstalled sims with no mods or saves and it still does the same thing!

    one of my households owns a restaurant, but it is located in Windenburg, so not anywhere the festivals occur.

    They did start happening again when i switched families for a bit, but then winter hit, they stopped again, and it is now the middle of summer and they have not returned.

    And as mentioned, I do have mods and CC, but disabling it doesn't seem to help, and they were working fine before with the same loadout of mods, and i haven't added any new ones.

    I noticed that some of the seasonal festivals aren't occuring anymore. Although I can't remember if I added them myself or they came with seasons. There was a summer festival and easter, but they haven't occurred since I added Snowy Escape

    @Carlieseuss Sounds like you're talking about holidays and not festivals. Festivals occur in San Myshuno and Mt. Komorebi only. The ones you add yourself are usually not re-occuring afair. Easter should be occurring every spring. Did you remove one at one point ?

    @o-RayeGunn-o Might be best to create a proper bug report then in the bug forum although I would encourage to test on a save that never had mods in first. Mods get outdated with patches and need updating.

    Ah you’re right. Yes I mean holidays. 

    and I haven’t removed any holidays, i realised I hadn’t had any for an entire generation. Nothing for Easter or summer in my calendar

    @Pyeface_22 I wish I had that problem. With the majority of the packs, I get notifications of festivals two or three times a day.

    No mods or cc. 

    I can add new ones, although I haven’t tested if they repeat yet.

    @Carlieseuss If all pre-made ones don't re-occur in the future, it's probably best to create a report in the bug forum for that.

    I was getting this problem too. All my festivals had disappeared. I have a Sim who I really wanted to go to GeekCon and waited for GeekCon for 3 weeks with no results. I played another week through and there were no festivals at all. Then I remembered how, through the debug items, I'd placed a couple of the notice boards for apartments in City Living in a couple of the community lots outside of City Living. Namely, a nightclub in Windenburg and a pub in Britechester. I deleted them, saved the game, exited and re-loaded. It was early Sunday morning and as soon as the game clock hit 10 am I got a notification for the flea market, followed by the youth festival. Hope this helps someone as it was driving me nuts.
