gallery

I can't find any of the sims/lots I have downloaded from the Sims 4 Gallery. I went onto the Gallery website and 'downloaded' several things (it showed up with a little tool that said 'add to downloads folder') but I can't find where the downloads folder supposedly is.

I have used sites like simsresource and modthesims so I have custom content enabled and know how to get things onto the game, but I can't find the stuff from the gallery. I am connected online both on origin and my game, and my origin is enabled in my game. I have cleared origin cache and ticked all the boxes to allow CC.

I've been told to go onto the community tab in game but I can't find it. When I open the gallery/press F4 the tabs I get are 'Gallery', 'News', '[my username]' and 'My Library'. I can't find the community tab anywhere and when I look at tutorials all people seem to do is connect online and then press F4 and it's there, but mine is different.

I've also looked through my library (with CC enabled) and all I can find is my downloaded things from simsresource and modthesims, not the gallery.

I understand you do not have the option to enter the Gallery from the game. This option is set by Origin, If you have created an account and you have indicated that you are less than 16 years old this option will be not available. Probably it is also a reason that despite downloading items from the on-line gallery it does not appear in your game.
To change this, you have to contact an EA consultant

But that's that looks the same. The likely error on Origin, Unfortunately, you still have to talk to EA about this. Only they can change this,
  • Unfortunately they seem to be ignoring me lol
They said they'd send me a link but they haven't (it's not in my spam folder either) and now I'm on a new chat trying to explain this all but they've stopped responding to me and I don't know whether to wait or not because it's been ten minutes and they didn't say they were going to do anything.
My internet connection is fine though

Unfortunately you have to fight this alone, I can not help you. I can only wish you good luck.

I feel you may know this, but gallery creations get downloaded to the My Library tab.

You'll want to go to the Gallery and look for the My Library tab. The downloaded creations should be there.

The Gallery no longer has the Community tab. It has exactly what you described. - Gallery ; News ; [my username] ; and My Library.

You might check to see if any files have been added to the Tray folder recently? That's where the houses, Sims, Rooms and Community lots go after they've been saved or installed. - Tray folder: C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Tray

Also I did a test of downloading something from the online Gallery and it seems prompt me to sign-in, every time I try to download something. Even though I'm already signed into the gallery online.

I launched the game and neither of the two things I downloaded were in-game, due to the online gallery not working correctly.

It might be something is wrong with the online gallery. Though I haven't read of any new reports of it being down.

Have you tried searching the gallery within the game for a few creations to see if you can download and view them in your My Library tab?

I've downloaded a couple of things from the gallery in game and they've shown up fine, but the Sims 4 Gallery website just has so much more content so that's where I mainly download things.

And no, it doesn't show up in my library because as far as I'm aware, I don't think they're technically downloaded yet? It says to add to download folder but not to actually download. I've been through my library (with CC enabled) but I can only find the stuff I got from simsresource, modthesims and the in game gallery, but as I said the website it just so much better content wise
