avocadoes12 You could try the simulation lag mod, alone, and see whether it helps. But this could also be an issue with your computer. While it should in theory be able to run Sims 4 fine, in practice it could be overheating and throttling its workload to protect itself.
Point is, I'd suggest installing a monitoring app like hwinfo (free, no installation required). You can open it before you start playing, then look over the log when you want. Open it, choose "sensors only," leave it on-screen, and you can alt-tab to it or just check the values once you close the game. The current value may fluctuate, and will drop once you quit Sims 4, but the maximum temperatures should give you a good idea of what's happening.
Hwinfo has a lot of data that you can ignore for now. Just look for the temperature values in the CPU and GPU categories and let me know what you find. Anything in red is a potential problem, not necessarily an immediate danger but at least a sign that the system is throttling significantly. Even if you don't see any red values though, I'd still like to know how high the temperatures get.
