Game doesn’t work with mods

About 2 months ago I was very reliant on CC and mods, 10GB of it in total on my computer which can hold 480GB so storage was no issue. Until one day, it just stopped working. My game was extremely laggy even after I updated mods and removed conflicting cc, and even script mods. So I ran the game fresh after uninstalling then reinstalling, still not working. Even without mods the most my FPS would go was 60 and lowered to 24. Now even having a singular cc in the mods folder makes the game laggy, just one! Perhaps it was the update in October that messed up my game. I’ve even been running it with no tray or saved. I can provide anything if asked to find the problem. Please help!

  • avocadoes12  The CPU readings are from after you've played the game for a little while?  I ask because they're so low that it seems like the processor hasn't had any significant workload while hwinfo has been open.  35º C is barely above room temperature, after all, at least compared to the ~90º maximum before most processors start to throttle.  (They're safe at temps in the low 90s; I'm just saying they start to lower their workloads around that point.)

The fact that one fan isn't working is actually kind of alarming and might be the root of the problem here.  I can't tell you how much of a problem that is without knowing the layout of the motherboard and how the cooling apparatus is structured overall, but it's definitely something to get fixed if you can.  Look for a computer store that offers free or cheap consultations—someone might be able to open the chassis and replace the fan, or unstick it, or whatever is necessary, for a reasonable price.

Yes it’s after i played the game for around 12 minutes. With mods it used to get hotter to the point where i could feel the hot air coming out of the one vent. But since it’s a clean folder, it’s pretty low. I’ll for sure look into a shop that can repair it for me because it for sure is concerning that only one of them works lol. Besides getting that repaired, is there anything else I should do?

For now, use the clean boot approach to keep everything disabled you don't need, and you an start experimenting with adding back your mods and cc.  Just pay attention to performance so you know what, if anything, has an outsize impact on the game.
