laurenlola22 That's interesting. Please post a new dxdiag with the laptop connected to a TV or monitor, one where you've confirmed the game works properly.
Hi puzzlezaddict , right I've double & triple checked everything, repaired the game again, run it absolutely fine twice on the screen I'm currently using to post the dxdiag from (just to make sure i'm not going mad!), and it's definitely an issue when i'm running the game only from my laptop - i'm wondering if it's something to do with the new pop-up we get for the events etc...
