Game keeps crashing when reaching main menu screen since moving to new computer

Hi!

I recently re-downloaded The Sims 4 onto my new PC after having not played for about 3~ months, and every time I've tried to open the game, the EA App either "times out" from trying to open the game, or it will just crashing after about 10 seconds. I play completely vanilla with no mods and only expansion/game packs, tried moving my saves folder out of the game files and launching the game again, and clearing the cache does nothing for it either. Some help would be really appreciated, thanks !! <3
