Game not responding past introduction loading screen?

Hello all. My game was working fine before Halloween. The last time I've played was October 26th, and everything ran just fine. I downloaded CC and put them in. I didn't test them until the other day when I went to go play. Everything loads as it should, but when I get to the loading screen (Sims 4 intro), it plays the music and stays there. When the music stops, my game doesn't respond. I have to shut it down every time. I've tried everything I can think of: I've repaired the game, did the 50/50 method, created a new mods folder, reset the game folders, disabled Origin in game, and I even took out the CC I've added after the 26th. Nothing I've tried has worked. The only thing I haven't tried is reinstalling the game. I really don't want to have to do that, especially if it doesn't work. I've also updated the mods I do have, and that didn't fix the issue. Can anyone help me figure out what's going on?

  • If your cc are only from one particular website, try downloading cc from a different site and test to see if the issue remains.
  • Well, I went on SimsVIP and they put down mods that were broken. I took out the ones that were and my game still wouldn't work. There were some CC that were broken as well. But since there are so many out there, no one had listed which ones were broken. What I ended up doing was a batch fix on everything. That seemed to fix my game. I haven't tested out gameplay, but I did load into my save file and clicked on a household. One thing that concerns me is the message I received when I loaded into the game. The message said something about there being missing data and if I saved then I could lose everything. I've never seen that before. Do you know what it could be? I'm thinking that maybe my packs didn't install all of the way. The other day my computer kept shutting itself off for no reason during installment of some packs. When I turned it back on, the packs it was installing before it shut down wasn't on the completed list. So it could have something to do with that. At least that's what I'm hoping for.
  • It is good that you were able to load your game. The message that you received may have been the cc that you previously removed. Your sims may have been wearing this cc, and now it is missing.
  • The game also shows that San Myshuno and Forgotten Hollow are not installed. How do I install them into my game?

You need to own City Living and the Vampire pack to have these worlds installed. The worlds came with the packs.

@rosemow I own both City Living and Vampires. They weren't installed in my game after I reinstalled everything, so I had to go back and install them manually. Now the issue I'm having with my game is the items for Dine Out showing an X through every item in build mode. The outfits for the restaurant show questions marks on them and nothing shows up. What could be the issue here?

Also, I apologize for responding so late. The CPU fan had burnt out on my PC and every time I ran my computer for an extended time, caused it to overheat and shut down. So I was unable to use my computer for quite a while. My husband was able to buy me a new CPU fan and now it's working like a charm!
  • Hello
Repairing the game may help. To do that, go to games library in Origin, right click on the sims 4 picture and click repair
