FurryUnicorn335 Please remove or rename the Sims 4 user folder, the one that would be in Documents > Electronic Arts in Windows or macOS and that holds your saves, mods, etc. I can look up the location on a Steam Deck if you can't find it, but if you've ever installed mods, you've found the right folder.
The idea here is to see whether the game loads with none of your existing content. If it does, you can start moving your content from the old Sims 4 folder to the new one the game will have created.
It doesn't work still. What I mean is when I click play it doesn't want to open for some reason
FurryUnicorn335 What happens when you try to play? While the Steam Deck isn't officially supported (because Linux isn't officially supported), Sims 4 generally works well with it. If you're seeing a specific error, that might be useful.
Please also switch to DirectX 9 mode, or back to DX11 mode if you're already using DX9. You can do so without opening the game by adding the -dx9 or -dx11 command line argument in Steam, under Properties > General > Launch Options.
