Game So Bright in Direct x11, Graphics so bad in Direct x9
Hello everyone . As of yesterday (July 29th, 2026), my game as been so bright (picture attached to this post as an example). Not only that it’s bright in game but also in main menu and options. However, when I changed the game to direct x9, my graphic were terrible. I’ve done the following:
- removed mods
- removed gshade
- removed localthumbcache
- removed localsimtexture
- removed resource
- uninstalled the sims 4
- uninstalled gshade
- uninstalled ea app
- followed reddit’s advice and zoomed out, can’t see the debug light.
- change lighting and texture via options menu.
- reinstalled ea
- reinstalled the sims 4
- reinstalled gshade
- lowered the brightness of my monitor
My game has no mods and my game is still bright.
