    xdanirose​  If you click Load Game and choose a different (previously unplayed) household, can you load that?  What about a new save?  This is not to say you need to abandon your current sims, only that it would be useful to know whether the problem was limited to one household or save.

    Please continue to test with no mods or custom content present.

I'm having the same exact issue! It's the nature event ad that pops up after I click off the mods I use menu. It keeps freezing after I click off the natures event ad. Can't get past it ugh :(( They added that silly pop up that messes it all up

PrincessSimone15​ I moved all my mods out of my mod folder, temporarily onto my desktop, not just uncheck them in game. Then I tried what puzzlezaddict​ suggested and that worked for me. Hope you can get it to work!
