Game stuck on infinite white loading screen. Crashes

After updating for the latest update (dumb for me to do) I cant launch my game at all. I try to play the game via EA as normal, but when I click to play, the launch tab suddenly crashes with flickering screens of white and black. And then gets stuck on an infinite white loading screen. Have tried every solution that has been discussed and advised. Deleting to uninstalling to drivers update to run as admin to clearing cache, you name it!

It seems that this is an ongoing issue, which is absurd and so sad. I wanna leave my discussion here in the hopes of someone finding a solution and sharing their magic trick. Or if you have heard anything from EA, I would like to know more about this issue. I am glad to know that I am not going through this alone though.

  • 5ctdk3cagz7m  Among the many troubleshooting steps you tried, did you move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts, or rename it?  If not, please do so now.

If that doesn't or didn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Hit Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the camera (Insert Media) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

  • Hi, I had the same white flickering screen and then crashing. Spent 3 hrs trying everything I could find (installing new graphics drivers, directx, clean saves, repairing, change dpi, the works ;-)). What finally worked for me is turn off my 'multiple monitors' check boxes. Mind, I don't even have multiple monitors.. But somehow it works. Gradually added back save files and mods and it's still working. Finally! Hope this helps! I game on a Victus gaming laptop with Windows 11 and Directx 12 installed.

Ps: I finally got error [135dec40:598068e4;00000078:37b26003], looked it up and found this solution on an older EA forum thread. Solved: 135dec40:598068e4:00000078:37b26003 - Answer HQ

Where can I find “multiple monitors”? I’ve been looking at settings but can’t find the option at display.

    Thanks for helping me!

  • 5ctdk3cagz7m  I see you found the setting eventually; thanks for posting.

BySpring  Would you mind posting a screenshot here, or in the other thread, to show which setting(s) you changed?  There are a handful of people with the same issue who would benefit.  And thanks for posting your dxdiag in the other thread.

Sure, on Windows 11 it’s under settings -> system -> display -> multiple display.  I toggled OFF both option there. Screenshot below (in Dutch though 😊)

    Hope this helps!
