Game won’t save

I am able to build a little of a house or play as a sim, then it stops letting me after about 5 minutes.  When I try to save it’s stuck on this loading screen and doesn’t change.  Anyone know what I can do, I have already tried repairing the game.  I don’t have CC or mods, and no error code is popping up.  This all started after the last update.
