game won't open

nopleaseguys​  If you haven't already, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.

If this doesn't or didn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

sorry for the late reply, as i said, i already tried to make a clean user folder. Today, i actually got an error message trying to launch the game, i looked at what to do to fix the error but i still can't play for some reason so here's the dxdiag

nopleaseguys​  Most of the errors in your dxdiag are from Acer registration software, so I'd suggest disabling that in the Task Manager's Startup list just to get it out of the way.  Even a crash of unrelated software can cause performance issues.

Please also update the driver for your laptop's graphics chip.  Acer doesn't offer a newer driver, but Intel does.  You can get it here:

Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator."  Restart the laptop afterwards and before trying to play.

If that doesn't help, are you getting the "failed to launch game" error?  If so, please restart your computer and try again.  I also listed a number of other ways to troubleshoot the error here:

ok so Acer's registration software is not in the startup list in the first place for some reason
anyways i updated my driver and restarted my laptop but i still have the same issue, here's the error

If nothing else helps, the new (local, admin) Windows account should.

I have also tried these before answering and they didn't work

And the new admin account did not work either

nopleaseguys​  Are you specifically still getting the initialization error?  If so, please check your system to see if there's another antivirus running.  Many laptops and pre-built desktops come with one already installed, so you could have one you never knew about.

If that's not the issue, please do a clean uninstall and reinstall of Sims 4 and the EA App, as described here:

It's crucial to create a new folder into which you install the game, and the folder needs to be on the root level of the drive, as the guide describes.

sorry for the late reply, i couldn't use my computer for the past couple days, there is no other antivirus running on my computer and reinstalling the game in a new folder unfortunately did not work, i'm honestly starting to lose hope 😭
