Graphic Issue Pop-Up after Update.

Hello,

I have a new laptop and these are my specs:  Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) 5 315 (1.50 GHz), nstalled RAM 8.00 GB (7.46 GB usable), Graphics card Intel(R) Graphics (128 MB), Storage 206 GB of 477 GB used, Device ID 04830232-15ED-46C3-9C4F-E4FC788D97BD, Product ID 00342-22946-72418-AAOEM, and System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor.

When I went into check on my game, I got the Wrong Graphic Card warning. Just now I did get into my System Setting to find that the Graphic Card is already on high performance.

How do I fix this?

  • SimSeeker What exact message are you seeing?  I've never heard of one that says "wrong graphic card."  If you mean it's unrecognized, ignore the message—it doesn't affect the game in any meaningful way.

Yes, it's unrecognized is what it is saying. But I did update my graphics card today.

  • SimSeeker  I'm guessing you updated your graphics driver, not your card, since the latter would require removing the entire processor and graphics chip and installing a new one.

At any rate, the "unrecognized video card" message only appears once per Options.ini file, as in, you'd only see it again if you removed or deleted this file.  But as noted, you can ignore this, as it's a non-issue.

Thank you very much. This is a brand new laptop. I didn't know that the graphics card needed to be updated until yesterday.
