have i lost my mind or the game is broken??

hi, i've been struggling with my game since i updated it (my game updated yesterday, it is on version 1.113.291). i was able to play for a few minutes until my sim was asked to move in with one of my other sims i have, when i did the whole switch over to the household my screen became unplayable. i couldn't click on my sims to do interactions or go to build mode. i ended up backing out to the main menu to see if it was just glitched but then my screen went black. ever since then, my game has been doing the same thing. i've already tried the removal of all mods and repairing the game multiple times and still nothing. so my question is... is this a general issue for everyone else right now?
