HELP: Stuck on loading screen

hello! this is my first time posting here, so i apologize in advance if i'm in the wrong forum! 😓

anyways, my problem is this: i open the game fine, and choose to "resume play" to continue the last household i've been playing on. then this household takes very long for me to load; i've tried loading a different save, only to wait again for unnecessary minutes.

i've tried taking out all mods and ccs, and it still happened. i deleted frequently mentioned cache in my files, and the problem still occurred. i've tried repairing, reinstalling, and nothing had worked. if there's something else i need to do, please let me know

  • S4SH7MI  Does this happen with a new save too?  Please start one, with your Mods folder removed, and see what happens.

If the new save is affected, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

If the new save is fine, I'd like to see a lastexception from your main household in your main save.  Open Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and delete any lastexception files you see.  Try again to load this save, and if and when it doesn't work, look for a new LE.  If you find one, open it (Notepad is fine), copy its text, and paste it into a reply here.

Please continue to test with your Mods folder removed.  You don't need to save your progress.

  • Chillislush6767  This issue, at least the one the original poster described, is not on the EA end and is therefore not EA's job to fix.  If you'd like help, please provide the information requested.
