How to fix error code 00000008: 00000000000000c8 in The Sims?

I’m having trouble loading the game. I can make a new household fine if I wanted, but if I hit the play button or “Load Game”, it gets stuck loading forever. Also, the Sims Delivery thing won’t download and I get a message saying “code: 00000008: 00000000000000c8”. It’s very annoying. I tried moving my mods folder and deleting “localthumbcache.package” but it wasn’t in there, just one file called “Resource.cfg”. I tried disabling mods too and that didn’t work. Restarting the computer or repairing sims hasn’t proven useful either. I’m at a loss and I’m not super tech savvy either.

    @francescaalyx  Has your current Sims 4 user folder, the one in Documents > Electronic Arts, ever had mods in it?  If so, please move it to the desktop, again, and don't add anything to it.  If you get an error when trying to move the folder, or it copies instead of moving, let me know.

    Please also try pausing OneDrive syncing before you play.  The option shows up when you right-click the cloud icon in the lower-right corner of the screen.  This can get around the Sims Delivery Express errors as well as any problems moving the Sims 4 user folder.

    I have tried all of the fixes I have found and nothing is working. The last post I see on here stop in 2022. I am sure there have been other issues since then. How can I get some real help. Anyone with a fix please email me at [edit: email address removed].  Thanks!
