I keep getting the "Can't run The Sims 4 with the video card in this system...."

Full error message is "Can't run The Sims 4 with the video card in this system. Please check that the video card meets the minimum specifications and that the latest video drivers are installed."

I've been playing the sims for half a decade and never had this issue and I was just playing yesterday with the updated game with no issues. I've been playing on this pc for a year and never had this issue. I've tried verifying the game files on Steam and at first it said about 50 files were bad and then the second time it said they were all fine. The only post I have found about this was in 2016. Help please!

I also took all my mods/cc out and I still got the message

(My game has also been crashing a lot lately)

  • blaisecager626  Sorry for the late reply; I've been away from the forums for a while, and there aren't many other people responding in this forum.

Please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

Please also let me know what antivirus you use.
