HoosierSims What happens when you try to connect? If you get an error, please post a screenshot.
Please also let me know whether you moved the Documents directory, or just the Sims 4 data that's in Documents; and whether your D drive is internal or external.

It just spins and spins and never connects.
I moved my whole documents folder so that would include all of the sims 4 data that was stored in the "Electronic Arts" folder and the "The Sims 4" folder inside of it.
HoosierSims To make sure this isn't a coincidence, please move your Documents folder back to C. You can move only the Sims 4 folder, or the Electronic Arts folder, to your D drive and create a symbolic link, as described here:
But please test with everything on C first. If your C drive doesn't have enough space for your data, you can leave the data on D (move it out of Documents first so it doesn't get transferred back) and test with none of your usual content, and then create the symlink if everything is fine.
Please also let me know whether the secondary drive is internal or external. And I'd like to know the model as well, in case speed is an issue here.

This issue resolved itself now. i dont know what the issue was but it seems to have fixed itself!
