I need to install the Sims TWICE?

I just tried to run the sims 4 through curseforge, but for some reason. EA needs me to install the game. TWICE. Is this REQUIRED or is it just EA being EA I already own the game on steam

f7yj9qqztmdr​  Sorry for the late reply.  What message do you see about installing the game again?  You definitely shouldn't have to, but sometimes this happens if there's a problem with the link between your Steam and EA accounts.  And maybe Curseforge is being weird; I don't use it so I wouldn't know.

I'll take a look at the screenshot, or if you prefer, you can write out what you see.  There should be a way around it in any case.
