Infinite Loading Screen

The last few times I have tried to play The Sims 4, I get stuck on some sort of loading screen. Whether it's travelling between worlds, opening the game, etc. If I restart my game, the loading screens will progress but saving the game crashes. Then I'm left with a ton of progress wiped out. I'm at a loss and I have no clue how to go about fixing this. I attached the DxDiag, however I'm not sure what any of it means. Hopefully someone can help me, this is discouraging

  • I'm having the exact same issue with no luck. Was there a solution?

  • maylin333  Does this happen with no mods or custom content present?  Please move or rename the Mods folder and test.  You can use "save as" so you don't overwrite your main save.

Your C drive is also very low on free space.  It's not critical yet in terms of basic Windows functions, but it could be having an effect on Sims 4, especially if OneDrive is also running on your computer.  OneDrive could be trying to push data to cloud storage to help you save space on your computer, but that would interfere with Sims 4, especially when you tried to save.

Point is, clear more space on C, ideally another 15 GB or so, and let me know whether OneDrive is present.

  • maylin333  What about mods or custom content?  And did it help to clear more space?

Separately, do you want OneDrive running and syncing your files, or would you be willing to get rid of it or at least keep it from syncing your Documents folder?
