Infinite Loading Screens and Not Responding

Ever since around the time the holiday rewards event came out, I've been getting infinite loading screens when I press "manage world" or whenever I try to quit the game. I don't want to have to keep using task manager to force the game to close each time, and sometimes the game freezes my pc to the point that I can't even open task manager.

I've verified my files through Steam and updated all my drivers and system. Is there any way I can fix this issue?

I've removed all my mods already and the same issue occurs regardless.

Attached is my dxdiag. Thank you for any advice :)

  • frostythevampire  Does this happen in a new save too?  Please test for comparison's sake and let me know.  If only your existing saves are affected, is there a pattern to when this happens, for example when you're playing one household but not another?

Your dxdiag only lists a couple of Sims 4 errors, and ones that are too generic to be any use here.  I don't see anything else obvious that needs to be addressed or that would account for the issue.

Thank you I just deleted everything in my sims 4 folder and started with a new save and it's working again :D

  • frostythevampire  Do you want to try to recover your old save(s)?  I'm nt completely sure it's possible, but there are troubleshooting steps you can try if you're interested.  And you should be able to save your sims to your library if you want, and possibly your builds too, although either or both could be corrupted.  So if you do try this, I'd suggest placing the households and builds in new saves, separately, and testing them out.
