The discounts on these are typically relatively small (less than £100), at least for anything a few years old or less, probably because the store has to justify the time and effort of refurbishing and validating the machine.
If you want to try Ebay, I can make some suggestions. But the graphics chip in this laptop is close to the performance of the fastest graphics chips available in the £400-500 range from two to four years ago, which is the class of laptops that I would expect to find in the £250 range now.
So you could in theory get a small performance boost from one of these, but the tradeoff is having an older laptop with no warranty and no store willing to replace it if necessary. I personally don't think it's worth the risk. Still, if you feel differently, let me know, and I'll take a look.
