Owned DLC Missing Items In Game
I have been encountering an error message in game that says "Content Not Installed." It says that "Purchased or other content used in this gallery item is not installed. If you place it now, you will not see the uninstalled content. Do you want to place this household/lot." I have a lot of expansion packs, stuff packs, game packs, and a few kits, but do not utilize any CC or Mods at all. The items that I'm having an issue with are all households or lots that I made myself with all the packs that I own. When viewing it in my Gallery, under the most recent updates, it now has two tabs at the bottom. The left one for "show used items from these packs" and displays all my packs that I own and that are downloaded. The right one says "show used items" and has a red X over a few items that I just chose in CAS with no problem. I tried making a sim and saving it with 0 DLC content and didn't have the error message. I did it again with just 1 random item from a DLC and was given the message. Not every time I do this will it show the red X, but I always get this message when trying to place my own content from the Gallery into a save. I waited until the new updates and downloaded those. I used the EA app to repair all content. I cleared the cache. Tried closing out the game and starting it up again. I'm sure there's other things I haven't tried that might work, but I haven't seen a lot of people commenting about this particular issue.

Hi! I'm not sure where to post this question. I cleaned up my mods and cc's after the update and reintroduced them all, on by one, back into my game. My game was running fine for the past ten days or so. My game was running fine yesterday. This morning, I turned my game on and a notification popped up saying "Turn Off Auto-scaling with OS Setting?". The two options to select are "Keep Current Settings" or "Turn Off Auto-Scaling (Recommended)". Now when I select "Keep Current Settings" the game wont load fully. It starts to load, and then it stops just before getting to the main menu. If I choose "Turn Off Auto-Scaling" I get a notification stating "Unrecognized Video Card". Can anyone help me figure this out? The game loads to the point of where I can see the green Sims emblem, with the info below that. Then the green emblem disappears, and only the info stays. Then the screen doesn't load past that.
game won't open
hi everybody, I cannot open the game after the newest update (posting this on the twentysixth of march 2026), I've deleted all of my mods (and had no cc) before trying to start the game but before the latest update that was supposed to fix the game my game did start. Only after the latest update do I get a blueish black screen with only my cursor visible, does anyone know how to fix this? I've had the base game since release and I have all the dlc (except marketplace add ons) if that mathers at all.
Deleted game files - still showing up as installed
Hi everyone, I'm trying to download Sims on a new computer. I recently moved over to Steam, but most of my packs are on the EA app. I downloaded the game on Steam, then went to the EA app and downloaded all my content. When I booted up the game, everything but Cats and Dogs downloaded properly. The game gave me an error code when the new pack install pop-up came up for it and said that it needed to be installed. It says installed on the EA app and if I try to hit Uninstall in the Manage Add Ons section, nothing happens. The button doesn't work. So I went into Program Files and found the Sims 4 folder, found the folder for Cats and Dogs, and deleted everything. It still shows in the EA App as installed. I have now fully deleted the entire folder, with all of the add ons, and they still say installed in the EA app. I have deleted every cache I can find. There's no save files as this is an entirely fresh install. I know the files still exist somewhere, I'm just unable to find them. Recycling bin is empty, I tried repairing and also fully uninstalling and reinstalling the EA app, the files are still somewhere. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the game on Steam a couple of times. No Mods or CC is downloaded either. Any help and insight is appreciated - thank you!DLC NOT OWNED
Hello simmers, I recently update my sims 4 (on steam) and when I opened it to play my save it says DLC not owned, DLC's that were bought in EA APP is deactivated. so I checked my EA APP and download all my DLC, but then when I opened my sims 4 it says DLC NOT OWNED again. so what am I going to do? I bought 4 of my DLC on EA APP.Packs won’t even install?
hello everyone i’ve purchased all the packs today, i got a message that they would take a bit to install and download. waited a bit and nothing happened. i checked through market place. when i try to install the packs it says something went wrong, only 3 of my packs installed and downloaded correctly. help!!!
My downloaded packs aren't showing up in game
Ok so I recently deleted and redownloaded the sims 4 and when I redownloaded the game I only installed like 6 packs due to storage space issues. I have now figured out my storage problem so I've redownloaded most of my packs however none of the content is showing up [e.g. worlds, clothes, ect...]. The weird thing is the like 6 packs I originally downloaded are all still showing up. I've uninstalled the game, redownloaded all the packs again, repaired my game twice, restarted the app yet nothing is helping. The title cards that pop up when you download a new pack still showed up after I downloaded them so i'm completely baffled as to why all the packs content isn't showing up in game. Please help i'm so sick of my game constantly having problems. :) Some extra info - I have no mods or cc installed at the moment and am using the EA app.
WASD and arrow keys not working for navigation
Since the Update that i installed a few days ago, the WASD and Arrow keys wont work for the navigation of the camera. i have tried reparing the game, i have tried redownloading it, i have tried resetting the settings, but neither the sims 4 cam nor the sims 3 cam seem to work with WASD or the Arrow keys, even tho things like pressing T for Top-down-View and G for enableing or disabling the grid still work just fine. Navigation with mouse also works fine but especially in build mode its a hassle. I also dont have any mods installed. Does anyone have an idea? (I have recently purchased the Lovestruck bundle, the Kitchen clutter, sleek bathroom and country kitchen)
