Laptop Overheating

I have a Lenovo LOQ laptop, processor Intel Core i7, installed RAM 24gb, Graphics NVIDIA RTX 5070, storage 4.57tb. For the last 2 weeks my laptop has started overheating to 100c every time I play sims4, this is a laptop that i bought in January 2026 and i am not sure what to do about it, i am worried the temperature is going to eventually ruin this laptop. It had been hot in the UK so i checked the thermal paste and renewed it on the CPU and GPU. I also wondered if the heat sink had a problem so i renewed the fans and the heat sink, that hasn’t helped, i am at a loss. I never had this problem before the last 2 weeks. I do have a lot of CC and mods but even with taking these out, i still have the problem. Can anyone help please. Thank you.

    winegum10​  Try playing offline.  You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.  If that helps, you can try with only the EA App offline but with your computer online overall.

    You can also try lowering the framerate limit within the game.  Vertical sync (in the graphics options) will limit fps to the refresh rate of your screen, but only in fullscreen mode.  There's also a frameratelimit line in Options.ini, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4.  The default is 200, but you can lower it to whatever you want and the game should respect it.
