Laptop screen goes black a little bit after starting Live mode

I also wanted to add that when the screen goes black it doesn't reappear. I have to hold the power button to turn it off and then back on.

heathersm1992  I'd like to read the dxdiag, so please attach it to a reply here.  Most of the issues I see in dxdiags aren't flagged as actual problems by the dxdiag process itself.

If your GPU is on its way out, failing but not yet entirely failed, this is one way that could present itself.  But your description could point to another, more fixable issue as well.

Last night I decided to start completely over, deleted my saves and mods and it went black during CAS and also during build mode so it's doing it all the time now. I hope my GPU isn't going out :( 

heathersm1992  The errors in your dxdiag are all timeouts of the graphics driver.  This could be a GPU issue or a driver issue, or possibly something else.  So the next step is doing a clean uninstall and reinstall of the driver, as described here:

Use the newest driver AMD provides for the RX 580:

If this doesn't help, please boot into BIOS and see whether you can find the option to enable your system's integrated graphics chip.  If you can, do so and then run the game on the iGPU.  Open Windows Settings > System > Display > Graphics, click Browse, find TS4_x64 on the list, and set it to use the power-saving option, which would mean the integrated chip.  The point is to test on a different GPU.
