Launcher blocked by antivirus?

Since today's patch, I'm unable to launch the sims 4 because every time I get an error message from Cortex XDR stating that it has blocked a malicious activity (suspicious executable detected). The exact file is TS4_Launcher_x64.exe and I am unable to do anything with Cortex XDR to prevent it from flagging and quarantining the file, and uninstalling Cortex is unfortunately not an option. I have verified the files about a dozen times now through steam and there is no way that I did something between now and my last session as the last time I used my computer before today was last night to play the sims 4 where it run perfectly. 

I have never used any mods or cc, and I have city living, get famous, get together, seasons, and discover university installed.
